International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies
Newsletter Vol 8 - No 3 | July 2024
Dear ISSVA Colleagues,
We have wrapped another International Congress season and are already planning for 2026. It was wonderful to see so many of our ISSVA colleagues in Madrid where we had a successful meeting full of fascinating science. I wish to thank the Scientific and Meeting Planning Committees of ISSVA for their work and dedication to this Congress, the Board of Directors for their direction, Dr. Juan-Carlos Lopez-Gutierrez and the local organizing committee for their gracious welcome, and to Dr. Fran Blei for her leadership as President for the last two years. Thank you again to the patient organizations who attended to represent the patients we care for, and to our corporate sponsors who helped make our Congress possible. To you, my colleagues, thank you for coming to Madrid and attending the Congress. I am looking forward to serving you as ISSVA President for the coming term.
During the Congress, the Board of Directors met for a strategic planning discussion to begin the process of enhancing ISSVA offerings to meet the needs and desires of our growing membership. We are eager to share these updates with you, including opportunities to join our pilot committees, work groups, and task forces which will focus on strengthening the education, resources, relationships, and governance of our organization.
Additionally, I ask that you Save the Date for 23-25 April 2025 for our Debates & Updates meeting which will take place in Paris, France. A call for case submissions will open in Fall 2024 and registration will open thereafter.
We will update you soon with additional information. Please reach out to us at info@issva.org if you have any questions or concerns.
With warm regards,
Leo Schultze Kool
