International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies
Newsletter Vol 9 - No 3 | May 2025

Dear ISSVA Colleagues,
What an incredible few days we shared in Paris at Debates & Updates 2025! On behalf of the ISSVA Board, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you who joined us—your energy, curiosity, and commitment to advancing the field of vascular anomalies made this meeting truly special.
A sincere and enthusiastic thank you goes out to our Planning Committee, whose tireless efforts brought this meeting to life. We are also deeply grateful to our case presenters, invited speakers, and moderators—your expertise and thoughtful contributions sparked meaningful discussions and inspired new ideas across our community.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this meeting was the vibrant networking and engagement we witnessed throughout the sessions and social events. Whether reconnecting with longtime colleagues or meeting new collaborators, the spirit of connection and shared purpose was palpable.
If you attended and are not yet a member of ISSVA, we warmly encourage you to join our society. Membership offers year-round access to resources, a global network of experts, and opportunities to shape the future of our field.
ISSVA Committees & Working Groups
The newly formed ISSVA Committees & Working Groups have begun their work, and we expect that progress will be made in the next half year. We will keep you updated about their projects and will be in touch soon about the progress of the Patient Support Committee organization.
Save the Date!
We’re already looking ahead to our next gathering: the ISSVA 2026 World Congress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from May 19-22, 2026.
Thank you again for making Debates & Updates 2025 such a success. We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia!
Warm regards,
Leo Schultze Kool
President, ISSVA
