ISSVA President's Message

Dear ISSVA Members,

We have been busy finalizing plans for the upcoming Scientific Congress which will be held in Madrid from 07-10 May, 2024 in Madrid, Spain.

The Planning Committee and Scientific Committee are meeting regularly to make this a spectacular meeting. We will keep you updated regularly regarding deadlines for the abstract submissions, Enjolras Travel Award applications, and meeting schedule. We are taking into account your input from prior meetings, in order to enhance the quality of the May meeting. We will also introduce some new initiatives.

Please work with your teams to organize abstracts!

Also consider planning your travel arrangements.

The Editorial staff of JOVA is issuing a Call for Papers. This peer reviewed, open access journal is dedicated to the discovery and report of the scientific investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of congenital and acquired human vascular lesions. JOVA is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and is available worldwide on Ovid®.

World of Vascular Anomalies

ISSVA believes it's important to unite the vascular anomalies community so we share with you, our members, the below events and changes in the field that are not organized or associated with ISSVA, but may be of interest to you. Please note that the events and news items listed below do not indicate an endorsement or sponsorship of these events by ISSVA.

Seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Dermatologist with experience in vascular anomalies for our established multi-disciplinary Hemangioma and Vascular Birthmarks Clinic at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, Virginia. 
We see patients jointly twice a month and incorporate a case conference and radiology review. Pulsed dye laser in clinic and in OR with assigned block time. CHKD is a teaching hospital with dermatology and pediatric residents from Eastern Virginia Medical School.  Applicant will join 2 pediatric dermatologists and 3 mid-levels in the Division of Dermatology at Children’s Specialty Group, PLLC, a physician-owned pediatric multispecialty group with partnership track available.  For more information, please email: judith.williams@chkd.org or david.darrow@chkd.org.

Save the Date: ISSVA World Congress 2024 - Madrid, Spain - 7-10 May

The ISSVA World Congress 2024 will be a venue to present the latest advances in research and science in vascular anomalies. It will provide a multidisciplinary forum for many specialties including, but not limited to, interventional radiologists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, oncologists, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, and pathologists.
